The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the most widely used English proficiency test in the world. It is recognized by over 9,000 organizations worldwide. So, after taking IELTS, your English level will be confirmed and recognized globally!

IELTS TEST STRUCTURE
2 HOURS 45 MINUTES
IELTS takes 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete. The listening, reading and writing sections are completed in a single sitting in a common exam auditorium, while the speaking section is taken individually with an examiner on the same day or up to a week before or after the other tests.
Academic and General IELTS have the same Listening and Speaking modules, but different Reading and Writing modules.
All of the components are graded on a scale of 0 to 9. The total score is determined by taking the arithmetic mean of the four section scores.
Each IELTS score represents a different English language proficiency.

The IELTS results are made available 13 days after the test.
To pass IELTS, No minimum score is required. The IELTS score is calculated on a scale of 0 to 9. A test report form is what the IELTS certificate is. It is given to all test takers with a score ranging from "band 1" (Non User) to "band 9" (Expert User), with each institution establishing its own threshold.
IELTS overall scores are reported the nearest half band (You can receive 7.5,8.0,8.5 for example).
If the overall score is less than .25, It is rounded up to the next half band (overall 6.25 = 6.5), and it is rounded up to the next whole band (overall 7.75 = 8.0).
For admission, most top universities require an overall IELTS score of 6.0 - 7.0.
WAYS TO TAKE IELTS EXAM
COMPUTER - BASED
PAPER - BASED
IELTS exams are conducted in two formats : Computer-based and Paper-based exams.
The only variation between the computer-based IELTS test and the paper based IELTS test is your test-taking experience. The test format, Question types, Time allotted to each test section and content all are same for both the computer-based and paper- based tests.
If you choose to take your IELTS exam on computer, Then you will have the reading, Listening and Writing sections of the exam on a computer. All responses will be typed out on the screen. During the listening test, You will also be able to take notes on a notes sheet.
You will finish the Reading, Listening, and writing sections on paper if you take IELTS on paper. You can complete your writing test with a pen or an HB-pencil, but you must use an HB-pencil to write your Listening and Reading answers on the answer sheet.
The speaking test is completed in a face-to-face interview with an IELTS examiner in both the paper-based and computer -delivered IELTS.
