THE OCCUPATIONAL ENGLISH TEST
The Occupational English Test(OET) proficiency Test primarily made for healthcare workers who want to work abroad. OET is Conducted by Cambridge Box hill Language Assessment Trust (CBLA), a Venture between Cambridge English Language Assesment and Box Hill Institute.

Work OET is typically required to work in English-speaking countries; in organizations where English proficiency is required.
OET is required for immigration to the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Nursing OET or OET for Nursing is most taken exams among the healthcare professionals. OET is the exam which is designed for the healthcare professional. In OET for Nursing the exam is for assessing the communication skills of the professionals who is willing to practice in the English speaking countries.
OET medicine exam is specifically developed for the physicians who is willing to practice in the English speaking countries. Exam stimulate the real workplace scenarios and communications based on the healthcare professions.
TYPES OF OET EXAM
OET has twelve types of exams, In which Nursing and Medicine is the most famous and preferable OET exams for Health care professionals. OET exams are designed to assess the English language skills in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening which is based on the communication related to healthcare working environment.
OET TEST STRUCTURE

OET Syllabus is curated to replicate the critical tasks of health care settings and measure Candidates abilities across the skill of lisening , reading, writing and speaking in hospitals and health care Centers. if a canfdidate appears for IELTS and does not attain the required score, he/she will have to appear for the whole exam again, whereas, in OET Candidates need to repeat only the failed module . The Fees will be levied for that particular module only.

Many organization including hospitals, Universities and colleges are using OET as proof of Candidates ability to Communicate effectively in a demanding healthcare environment . OET is available up to 12 times a year and can be taken at test venues around the world. There is no overall grade - Candidates receives separate grades for each sub test. the scoring system consist of grades from A( IELTS equivalent of 8,9) to E. Each section is marked on a scale of 0-500 and later graded . Most recognizing organization required Candidates to have at least b grade in each of the four sub test and recognize results as valid for up to two years.
OET exams are conducted in three formats : Computer-based, Paper-based exams and Computer-based at home.
The only variation between the computer-based OET test and the paper based OET test is your test-taking experience. The test format, Question types, Time allotted to each test section and content all are same for both the computer-based and paper- based tests.
If you choose to take your OET exam on computer, Then you will have the reading, Listening and Writing sections of the exam on a computer. All responses will be typed out on the screen. During the listening test, You will also be able to take notes on a notes sheet.
You will finish the Reading, Listening, and writing sections on paper if you take OET on paper. You can complete your writing test with a pen or an HB-pencil, but you must use an HB-pencil to write your Listening and Reading answers on the answer sheet.
The speaking test is completed in a face-to-face interview with an OET examiner in both the paper-based and computer -delivered OET. Speaking module is based on the workplace scenarios and communications in workplace.
